Tom Presents at St. Petersburg State University
On October 8, 2009, Tom Mullikin presented on the the topic “Meeting the Global Climate Change Challenge” to a diverse audience at the Geography and Geoecology Department of St. Petersburg State University in St. Petersburg, Russia. In attendance were such notable guests as Nobel Laureate Dr. Gennady Menzhulin, the Dean of the Russian Academy of Sciences – Center for Ecological Safety, as well as numerous professors and scientists actively engaged in the study of climate change.
Professor D. A. Ganushkin, Vice Dean of the academy, commented on the presentation: “The [faculty] and guests for the Geography and Geoecology Department thoroughly enjoyed your presentation, ‘Meeting the Global Climate Challege…’ I find a discussion between our team from the scientific side and your U.S. goverment practice to be mutually beneficial. It is exactly what needs to happen to further the dialogue on these topics – topics that will define our generation and leave a path for the next.”
